Its the Labor Day weekend like you have never done it before! We will start with a BBQ in Oxford on Friday evening hosted by Joe and Joan at Brewers Marina where they keep Lake Champlain. On Saturday, we will have a BYO picnic in the park for those who want to join us. On Saturday evening, we will head over to the Tred Avon Yacht Club for Cocktails, followed by dinner, hosted by John and Madi. On Sunday, we will sail to Cambridge Yacht Club where we will have a naming ceremony for Court and Laura's new boat. From there, we are off to an all you can pick crab feast complete with all the trimmings, hosted by Bill and Ann!

Boat Reservations - UPDATED 8/18

Friday and Saturday, Sep 2/3

Cambell's Boat Yard on Town Creek Oxford 410 226-5592 "Adelena" has available slips as of Aug 18. Campbell's has three marinas so ask if there are slips available at any of their other marinas.

As of Aug 18, Brewer Marina, 402 E. Strand St. Oxford, MD 21654 says they are now full with no more available slips.

Latitude 38 41'643 N Longitude 76 10.094" W Call Dock Master Ryan on VHF 16/73 or by phone at 410-226-5450 for slip reservations. Slip price $2.25 ft; Electric 30AMP/$7.00 50AMP/$14.00 They can take dinghies  at their dock for 2.25 per ft or 10.00 per hour. 

Anchoring is available in Town Creek and off "The Strand" - you can dinghy to the beach of the Strand and walk to Brewers or to the Tred Avon Yacht Club. There is also a small public dock in Town Creek opposite Jack's Point Marina where you can tie up your dinghy.

BBQ Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, all the condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, sliced tomatoes, onions, cheese) and the buns. Followed by the best ice cream on the Eastern Shore from Scottish Highland Creamery. Ice and Water included. 

Please bring an appetizer or side to share. BYOB.

Bring your picnic lunch or buy one at the Oxford Market across the street, come to the park and grab a seat under the trees for a lovely lunch overlooking the Tred Avon river.

Chesapeake Bay Seafood Industries Assn (CBSIA) invites you to a Labor Day Weekend Crab Feast! Several yacht clubs are invited so you may see some of your other friends too!

Clayton's is the oldest, most-respected seafood company in the area; we'll be getting crabs directly from their watermen.  Appetizer Happy Hour (includes BEER tasting) at 4:30; optional plant tour at 5:00, followed by the Crab Feast at 5:30.  Bring your favorite appetizer to share, as well as some of your favorite brews to share. Then it's all you can pick and eat crabs, corn on the cob, and iced watermelon; bring your own beverages and BCYC will bring the club's mallets and knives. 

New this year, BCYC is offering its club members 1/2 lb Burgers from Snapper's Waterfront Cafe - please indicated your choice of either Five Cheese Burger (Cheddar, Jack, Swiss, Provolone and Parmesan) or Jamaican Burger (jerk spices, onions, peppers), which comes on a Kaiser roll with pickles and coleslaw plus the corn and watermelon.

You can also just bring your own entree and pair with the corn on cob and watermelon.
