BCYC Fall Goose Cruise

Join your fellow Bakyakers for the BCYC Fall Goose Cruise.

Friday evening, October 18th we will be gathering at the beautiful Miles River Yacht Club in St Michaels. The club is holding 8 slips for BCYC. If you are coming by boat, please email our Fleet Captain Tim Feldman ASAP with the length, width, depth, and power requirements of your boat.  mailto:timf0416@gmail.com

We will be rafting up on the evening of Saturday, October 19th, and the morning of Sunday October 20th on the Wye River. Depending on numbers and predicted winds, we have three excellent destination options:

Small group - Dividing Creek, N 38 53.367', W 076 09.217'

Medium group - Quarter Cove, roughly N 38 52.8', W 076 9.4'

Large group - Cove SE of Drum Point, Drum Cove, N 38 52.950', W 076 10.733’

The final destination will be set by your hosts based on weather/group size the Wednesday before the cruise weekend, on October 16th. An email will be sent out to participants that morning.

Day One

5:30 PM Friday: Your hosts John and Madi Yates are preparing special appetizers to wet your bird calling whistle - Bacon-wrapped Quail legs and Duckfat popcorn. At the time of this announcement, we expect that Isabel’s on the dock will be open for libations and that we can bring the appetizers there. That's the best case scenario. If we are unable to serve the apps in Isabel’s, the Yates S/V Indy will be at a slip on the dock and will be handing out the hors d'oeuvres to go with your libations from Isabel’s.

Appetizers - $5.00 per person

7:00 PM Friday - Dinner in the Trophy Room - Order from the Menu, Pay on Your Own

Day Two

5:00 PM Saturday: Your hosts Justin Tindale and Lynn Egan will be serving bacon-wrapped de-boned chicken legs stuffed with home-made sausage, paired with buttered new (red-skin) potatoes from their fall harvest, and green beans almandine. Fellow Bakyakers should bring an appetizer or a dessert of their choice to go with the main offering.

Day Three

9:00 AM Sunday: Lynn will be setting Justin free once again in the galley as they will be offering French crepes with brandied apples for your breakfast pleasure. Donations of breakfast beverages or sides would be most welcome.

Day Two/Three - $15.00 per person

Registration closes Saturday October 5th.
